Roth Wood

Testimonials

HI Folks,
I spent the day / night at Rothwood with a friend and found the accommodations to be of virtual hotel quality but in a homely atmosphere. The Owners are friendly and welcoming and make you feel at ease instantly.
The decor is warm and inviting with beautiful comfortable fabric lounge recliners in one living area and a gorgeous comfy black lounge suite in the other, both living areas have wood fires and there is reverse cycle air conditioning in each room to keep you cosy
The bathrooms inside the house are both spacious and complete with toilets.
There is a bathroom outside with a separate toilet that services the outside bedroom.
Our bedroom consisted of 2 king single beds with crisp white linens, oversize pillows and fluffy quilts. all the beds in the house can be either king size or king singles.
Each bedroom has its own flat screen TV mounted on the wall.
the kitchen is large and fully equipped for all requirements.

I look forward to future stays and highly recommend a visit to decide for yourself.

I found Rothwood to be a great place to stay with my two large breed dogs. Whilst I needed to keep my dogs contained or on a lead they were comfortable with plenty of places to walk nearby. The dogs could not be in my room but were able to be very close by and out of the weather. The accommodation was lovely, clean and welcoming. A good place to stay within close proximity of the City.

we stayed in rothwood for our first week in oz before we started the backpacker/hostel lifestyle, we found rothwood to be an amazing city retreat, it has a very warm rustic feeling to it.
kevin and swan done everything and anything they could do to make our stay more enjoyable which we appreciate alot.
the kitchen area was a good size with modern furnishings, enough pots, pans, dishes etc so that no one had to go without if everyone was cooking at the same time. upon our arrival fridge space for our own stuff was limited….so kevin went and bought another fridge! result.
all in all highly reccomend this place as its close enough to perth city but far enough away to avoid the hussle and bussle.

A fantastic place for a retreat or that quiet get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Thank you Kevin and Swan for your wonderful hospitality. Your kindness and patience made our overseas guests feel very welcome and at ease. Kevin, I would like to thank you for your advise with the room bookings seeing that we had so many people arrive and ongoing changes to dates. You accommodated everything with a smile and nothing was too hard for you and Swan. I would recommend this venue to anyone seeking that time away in a friendly and homely setting. The place is neat and tidy and you could not do enough for us. We as an organisation will continue to recommend and use your venue ourselves and to others. Thanks again.

Rothwood B&B is a convenient, modern and novel equestrine themed getaway spot. This modern vacation homestead has been curated by owner and all-rounder Kevin, whom I understand took the huge internal and external renovation job off of his own back.

Kevin now manages the B&B and despite having no previous hospitality experience, we found Kevin and his wife, Swan to be the epitome of hospitable.

No request was not catered for and Kevin even shuffled us to and from the local train station for our whirlwind tour of Perth, which was above and beyond his call of duty.

The property itself is beautiful and rests in a semi-woodland setting. There are chickens on site as well as permanent horse guests, so for animal lovers you will definitely get your fill of wildlife.

The location is a convenient 15 minute car or taxi ride from the airport and our room was airy, spacious and modern with a giant flatscreen TV as it’s centrepiece.

The pool is a great centrepiece to the house although I didn’t dare jump in as it was particularly chilly during our stay (despite being from the UK!).

I thoroughly recommend Rothwood as a short or long-term stay option and it is a great spot for groups or couples like myself and my girlfriend. The manager Kevin offers a real personalised service and really helped ease us into our stay and guide us on the local area.

    Book and Enjoy!

Great place to stay. Very quiet area, friendly owner, very neat and modern. Warm fire and sitting area and lovely hot shower. Thanks for taking a late booking and late check in. Was very happy to feel safe by myself and with a newborn. Highly recommend.

Just a lovely place to stay. Our hosts, Kevin & Swan, made us feel so welcome and even organised a BBQ for us, and some other guests, by the lovely little river that runs at the bottom of the property. We stayed in a beautiful room just outside the main homestead which was just perfect as we still had the sense of being part or the main house while having very much our own space.

    And the bed – DELUXE!!!!

Well done guys you have a lovely home that Dee and I look forward to returning to in the near future.

    Kind regards,

After spending 7 nights in a cramped pricey Singapore hotel this B&B was a pleasant change. With beautiful semi bush surroundings and hearing the birds in the morning, my bedroom was the Dickler room, plenty of space for one person or a couple. The bed was comfy and inviting and the pillows were firm and comfy also. The living area’s were warm inviting and hospitable. Loved the two lounge area’s and the dinning area, which can be utilized for a dinner party. Though the two bathrooms you had to share with other guests they were modern and clean. The outdoor area’s were gorgeous, after a hard day of touring around these area’s will be inviting to cool off in the pool, or have a cold drink under the outdoor settings especially during the warmer months.
The kitchen was spacious and modern.
The owners Kevin and Swan have put a lot of thought and effort to ensure guests feel at home!
Therefore I will highly recommend this B&B.

    Hi Kevin

3 weeks after our fantastic experience in down under, waiting for christmas,
looking outside the window, sky is grey, airtemperature 5°C, no wind, no waves!
But allways in my mind the memory for western australia, the nature, the people,
and specially the waves and wind in gnaraloo. We’ve got a fantastic week overthere.

But Kevin, keep in mind, we have a perfect start for our holidays. Kevin picked up at
the airport and brought us with all our stuff to his nice home. But not enough, next
day this friendly guy plays the transporter again and takes us to the starting ramp of
    Apollo.

For your assistance I will send you a big THANK YOU and for christmas and for 2015
    I wish you the best.

    Hi,
We stayed at Kevin & Swan’s lovely bed and breakfast. We arrived with a truck, trailer and toyota landcruiser, they were very accommodating with all of our gear and had plenty of room. We stayed in the Red Gum room and it was absolutely lovely. We had a beautiful breakfast and would highly recommend their farm stay, nothing is a problem and they are very helpful.
Thank you so much, we will be back.
    Kind Regards,
    Sherilee & Rob Piggott
